ACTING

Represented as an actor by Collaborate Management, Kat has appeared in more than 30 stage productions across NZ's professional stages; on NZ's most loved soap Shortland Street; in TVCs, and Telefeatures; and in a long string of independent features, shorts, and music videos.   In 2020-2023 Kat starred as Dr Taylor and toured in multi-award winning sci-fi drama ALONE (also developed and produced by Kat) which won Best Theatre and a PANNZ Tour Ready Award at Auckland Fringe Festival upon its debut. It then toured theatres, festivals, and airplane hangars across New Zealand, Australia and Scotland- taking out the SYNZ Tour Ready Award at NZ Fringe Festival, and being nominated for Best in Theatre and Touring Awards at the Sydney Fringe Festival. ALONE made its international debut at the Sydney Fringe Festival in 2022 and ran for a month at Assembly Festival as part of the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023.  Recently Kat has also performed and toured extensively with beloved children's theatre makers Tim Bray Theatre Company - starring in The Man Whose Mother Was a Pirate,  The Great-White Man Eating Shark, Greedy Cat, A Lion in the Meadow, Badjelly the Witch, The Whale Rider, The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch, The Great Piratical Rumbustification, and Five Go On an Adventure. 

DIRECTING/PRODUCING

Kat is the founder of Glow House Limited - a production company crafting powerful stories for screen, stage, and beyond. Kat was selected for the 2022 NZFC/WIFT Emerging Producers Intensive.

Kat has directed and produced content for both screen and stage.  Successes in this field include producing NZ On Air funded music video 'Crawling' for Ryan Enzed and associate producing short film 'Skin' which premiered at the 2016 NZ International Film Festival.  In 2017, 'Stay', co-produced by Kat, screened at the NZ International Film Festival as well as at Giffoni International Film Festival.  Theatrically Kat has produced a number of sold-out seasons including shows at the NZ International Comedy Festival, several productions at the Basement Theatre and Maidment Theatres including the critically acclaimed 'The First Time' which was also invited to show at the Toi Wahine NZ Festival of Womens Theatre.  Kat is also the lead producer of hit sci-fi drama 'ALONE' (Best Theatre and PANNZ Tour Ready - Auckland Fringe, SYNZ Tour Ready - NZ Fringe).  As a director Kat has helmed film projects for Blikfang Art Gallery and a number of short films, as well as successful theatrical shows at Q Theatre, Pride Festival, Short + Sweet Festival, Basement Theatre, and Maidment Theatres.   In 2022 Kat produced 'Maumahara' - a short film as part of Someday Stories 6. 

WRITING

Kat has penned several screenplays and theatrical works.  Kat's first short film 'Numb' was accepted into the Cannes Film Festival 2016 Short Film Corner, which they attended in France that year.   Since then they have penned several other short films and commercial scripts, as well as sketch and comedy work.  In 2019 Kat was selected to take part in Auckland Theatre Company's Young Writers Table.
